Dear Fellow Travelers
This morning as I was walking in the park, thoughts of pain & suffering were buzzing around me like the bees and dragonflies. These were not thoughts about my immediate experience, but that of people in my circle, a sick family member, an injured friend, people who are frustrated with their work situation, clients who are struggling and family members who are in mourning. Moving along and witnessing the beauty of the day, the cooler temperature, clear sky, the joy that the flying insects seemed to carry on the breeze, I was struck by a lighter thought. It’s ok to be happy when others are suffering. As a matter of fact, it’s the best thing we can do for everyone. Let me explain.
Wayne Dyer teaches that we can never hurt enough to ease another’s suffering; we can never be poor enough to erase poverty, we can never be miserable enough to make another person happy. I have lived with these truths for many years and they have freed me from much anguish. This morning’s epiphany brought me to an even higher level of understanding. When I am happy, my vibration is high. When my vibration is high, I help to raise the vibration of the planet. The longer I remain in a state of happiness, the more I help to keep the planetary vibration high. This IS the best thing I can do for my circle because we are all connected to each other. That doesn’t mean that I might not take chicken soup to my neighbor, comfort a friend who is sad or give a family member a ride to the doctor. What it means is that when all these are done, and there’s nothing to do to help another; happiness is the answer. So my promise to you, my fellow travelers, and my challenge, is to remain as happy and joyful as possible in every moment of life. And as you do, know that you are contributing to the planet in the most powerful way possible. When we help to raise the vibration of the planet we help every person on the planet. We can literally eradicate suffering, disease and sadness if enough of us can hold this space.
I’ve always felt that one of the best things I did for the planet was to raise two sons who are conscientious, self empowered, caring human beings. I still feel that is true. Now I am inspired by the possibility of a new way of living and being in service to all living beings.
Blessings, Light and HAPPINESS,

Sherry, I so love what you share. I have found that when I'm troubled about what's going on for others and feel powerless to lift their troubles, I look for how to heal myself in any of the areas that relate to my friend's situation. I own the parts of me that believe it's possible to have the pain, suffering and/or struggle they're experiencing and ask forgiveness for adding that idea to the universe. I believe that we're all connected and when I raise my consciousness, I help to raise everyone's consciousness. Doing this certainly beats getting down into the muck and mire with the problem. I feel much better and am in a good position to help others.

Thank you for your comment Betty, and also for helping to raise the vibration. We are heading into wonderful times on the planet as so many people work toward the higher consciousness you mention. Blessings & Light

Very good post. If we would all change our vibration we can change the world.
